Honey Island Swamp

The swamp, encompassing nearly 70,000 acres, features an abundance of wildlife, including native birds, turtles, and the infamous American Alligator.
Olde Town Slidell
Olde Town Slidell, considered by many to be the heart and soul of Slidell, is the 10-square-block downtown district and the town’s cultural center. The members of this tight-knit community have worked hard to maintain a clean and warm environment among its many gift shops, antique stores, boutiques, restaurants, art shops, and more. Olde Towne Slidell Main Street is a non-profit organization that promotes the area’s business and organizes many of its events.
Olde Town Slidell Antique Street Fair
The Olde Town Slidell Antique Street Fair, held every March and October, is an antique lover’s dream come true. The fair features over 200 dealers and vendors, offering furniture, stained glass, art, vintage jewelry, clothing, and other collectibles. The fair also offers delicious food and live music. Admission and parking are free!
Tammany Trace, a beautiful hike and bike trail that winds through five communities in St. Tammany Parish, includes access points in Slidell.
